St. Patrick’s Youth Ministry is excited to announce our annual Mission Trip for the summer of 2018! We will be joining hundreds of Catholic teenagers around the United States at Catholic Heart Work Camp in Greensboro, North Carolina from Saturday, July 21 – Saturday, July 28. We have an amazing trip planned filled with a variety of service opportunities, team building activities, games, and moments of prayer and reflection. This mission trip is open to all teenagers between ages 14-18 years old.

We will depart St. Patrick’s Church on Saturday, July 21 at 5:00 PM and spend the night at Good Shepherd Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. We’ll leave the next morning by 8:00 AM and arrive early afternoon at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Greensboro, NC. This Church will serve as our home for the week.

Daily Schedule:

• 6:30 AM – Breakfast

• 7:30 AM – Morning Program

• 8:45 AM – Arrive at worksite

• 12:00 PM – Lunch

• 3:00 PM – Return to school/Free time

• 4:30 PM – Optional Rosary

• 5:15 PM – Dinner

• 7:00 PM – Evening Program

• 11:00 PM – Lights Out

 

The morning and evening programs are filled with prayer, praise and worship, inspirational talks and games that interactively involve the teens. The programs are vital, for they will spiritually prepare everyone for a day of selfless service and hard work! During the day, each participant will be divided into different work-site groups with teenagers and adults from other youth ministries from around the United States. The work-site groups are a great opportunity to form and develop relationships with other people inspiring to grow closer to God. Each work-site group will participate at least in one of the services below:

• Renewing homes with interior and exterior painting

• Housecleaning

• Yard work

• Building ramps

• Minor home repairs

• Day care centers for low income families

• Volunteering at homeless shelters

• Food distribution centers for the needy

 

The cost per teen is $370. This covers Catholic Work Camp program fees, food, supplies, and other necessary items. 50% of the registration fee $185 is due by March 1, 2018. The remaining balance fee is due May 1, 2018. Please make checks payable to "St. Patrick Church" and deliver to:
